Assam CM Inaugurates State-of-the-Art ‘Audio-Visual Hub’ at Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio


Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today inaugurated the state-of-the-art audio visual center at the state government-owned Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio, an effort that will help producers in the northeastern regions.

The studio has been equipped with the latest technologies, in order to meet the demands of filmmakers and enable them to carry out post-production work for their films.

Taking to Twitter, Assam CM wrote, “Happy to dedicate a state-of-the-art audiovisual hub at the Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio to the public. This will allow producers in Assam and other NE states to do all post-production activities for their films without leaving the region.

“Filmmakers can add the latest audiovisual effects to their films at subsidized rates at the hub. It was rewarding for me as I had planned this project during my time as Finance Minister of Assam. We are also planning to build an auditorium with a capacity of 1500 seats in Jyoti Chitraban. – he added.

According to reports, this AV hub incorporates – Signature Prime lens; Mini LF digital video camera; Conference Room E; Studio DL; Editing studio; 7.1 Mixing studio; Dolby 5.1 surround sound package; among other features.

Meanwhile, the State Minister for Cultural Affairs – Bimal Borah also expressed his satisfaction at the inauguration of the audiovisual center.

Taking to Twitter, Borah wrote, “Theaters and films are the two most important avenues through which the rich cultural heritage of Assam is portrayed. Extremely happy to participate in the inaugural ceremony of the Audio Visual Hub with HCM Dr @himantabiswa dangoriya at Jyoti Chitrabon

“Since its inception, Jyoti Chitrabon has played an important role in improving the culture of the state Under the guidance of GoA, it has become well equipped with advanced technology to keep up with the changing times and meet the growing demand for filmmakers.” – he added.
