The new fiscal year marks the first anniversary of Victoria’s new environmental safety laws coming into force.

In this update, we focus on how local government officials, as owners, supervisors and occupiers of Victorian land, can take a more preventative and proactive approach to protecting human well-being and the environment. environment from the impact of air pollution and waste.

In light of these EPA publications, and in particular the Steering Committee, we encourage boards, from their ability as duty bearers, to evaluate and maintain their insurance policies and procedures for stopping and reduce the risk of harm to human health and the environment.
