Thane: The finance department of the government of Maharashtra passed a decision on June 8, 2022 making a GPS tracking system mandatory for all government vehicles delivering nutritious food to beneficiaries. Further, a database of all beneficiaries of nutrition, various concessions and personal benefit schemes in the district has been prepared and ordered to be attached to Aadhar by the end of December 2022.
The state government has implemented various concessions and personal benefit schemes for nutrition through the Department of Tribal Development, Social Justice and Special Assistance, Other Backward Classes, Community Development minorities, skills development and entrepreneurship, school education and sports, higher and technical education, medical education. and medicine, and women’s and children’s development. Steps have been taken to ensure that children as well as other disadvantaged sections of society remain in the mainstream of the various welfare state schemes and that no eligible recipient is deprived of benefits.
A civilian food supply and consumer protection official said: “All departments have been instructed to immediately initiate the process of updating their department’s master database and attach it to the database of all beneficiaries of individual benefit schemes GPS tracking system has been made mandatory for vehicles delivering nutritious food and similar items by the end of December 2022. Instructions have been given to complete the linking process names of all nutrition-related beneficiaries with Aadhar cards by the end of December 2022. Departments are expected to complete the process of updating the master database by the end of December 2022 using a web application for their registration and daily attendance to ensure that all students attend school and college regularly. u program will be disbursed from 1 January From 2023 according to the daily attendance records keeping the main database attached to the Aadhaar of the b beneficiary students.
The officials further added: “To ensure that no student eligible for the scholarship is deprived of benefits, instructions have been given to deposit the scholarship into the student’s account via DBT from January 1, 2023. by linking the program to all scholarship-related departments.”
